Here is a collection of photos from the afternoon
What a wonderful turn out of our third annual Bikes and Beers Ride. For the last 3 years our club has finished the year's riding with the Bikes and Beers Ride. This year we had a large number of (40) riders who braved the 37 degree weather, for either a ride on the trails at Mount Wooroolin or a ride along the South Burnett Rail Trail.
Apart from a few flat tyres and a couple of riders taking short excursions off the trails and into the lantana, everyone survived the trails on the mountain with smiles on their faces. On the Rail Trail riders rode to either Crawford and back to Kingaroy or continued onto Memerambi before completing the return journey. Flat tyres were the order of the day on the rail trail as well, however no magpies which was nice.
After the ride it was wonderful to see everyone chatting and re-hydrating at The Comm Hotel. Massive thanks to Norco, Merida and John Provan Building for supplying the nibblies. Also a big thanks to Peter Sorensen from PSM Probike for organising the ride and to Out There Cycling for attending the event.
Finally, thank you to everyone who has supported us of 2019. Our club will hopefully have some very exciting news to share early in the new year, so stay tuned.
Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. See you out there.
