


Ride 4 Relay 2023
Ride 4 Relay is a fully supported charity mountain bike ride in support of the Relay for Life in the South Burnett. We are a boutique ride focusing on fun and friendship. This is definitely not a race.
2023 ROUTE
**Wondai-Nanango-BP Dam (Moffatdale)-Proston (2 nights)-Wondai**
When- This year's Ride 4 Relay is from Tuesday 29 August-Saturday 2 September
What-The Ride 4 Relay uses bitumen and dirt backroads. We ride between 70-90kms per day through the beautiful South Burnett region and there are a few undulations. The ride is fully supported. Our support vehicles carry all the necessary things we need for a great day riding
Distance- This year's ride will be approximately 400kms (See below for details)
Elevation- There will be around 4700m of elevation over the 4 1/2 days
Your Bike- A Mountain Bike or Gravel Bike or Ebike versions of these are suitable for the Ride 4 Relay
Cost- $295. This includes all accommodation, food, ride snacks, ride jersey etc. (expect the last night's dinner)
What to Bring- Once registered you will be emailed a Rider Information Sheet for what to bring, start and finish times etc.
Accommodation- We will be staying undercover at Showground at Nanango and Proston and at Yallkool Camping Grounds Conference Centre at BP Dam
To Register
This is a TWO STEP PROCESS. You will effectively need to register in two separate places. This is a requirement of Cancer Council Queensland. So allow a little bit of time to complete both. If you have ridden with us in the past Step 1 is quite simple (as long as you remember your user name and password)

Search by Team Name "Ride 4 Relay 2023" and then follow the prompts to Join Our Team.

Don't worry if it looks like you are joining up for a walking event in Kingaroy. This joins you up to our Relay for Life Team, covers insurance and gives you a fundraising webpage that you can customize. This is a requirement of Cancer Council Queensland
Step 2- Fill out our "Ride 4 Relay 2023" Registration Form- will take 5 minutes


Ride Route
Day 1- Wondai Showgrounds to Nanango
Day 1 Notes
Distance- 84Kms
Elevation- 960m
Day 1 will take riders from Wondai Showgrounds through undulating countryside tpWooroolin, Memerambi and onto Nanango. We will be staying at the Nanango Showgrounds.
Day 2- Nanango to Moffatdale
On Day 2 Notes
Distance- 83km
Elevation- 1100m
Riders head out of Nanango following Bullcamp and River Road to Western Branch Road. This route has a wonderful downhill section that finished on the banks of the Brisbane River. Riders will then follow Western Branch Road past the head waters of the Brisbane River, then through rolling countryside to finish at BP Dam at Moffatdale.
Day 3- Moffatdale to Proston

Distance- 89km
Elevation- 1200m
Riders leave BP Dam behind them and head for a climb up Boat Mountain, where the views are spectacular. Riders then head out through Cloyna and Hivesville on their way through to Proston. We will be staying at the Proston Showgrounds for 2 nights.
Day 4- Proston Loop

Distance- 79km
Elevation- 1000m
We will be riding a loop around Proston. We will visit Boondooma Dam for Morning Tea, before heading on a loop around some very pretty country around Abbeywood, before returning to the Proston Showground to spend a second night in Proston.
Day 5- Proston to Wondai Showgrounds
Day Five Notes
Distance- 62km
Elevation- 820m
We will be up bright and early on the last day and heading back to Wondai Showground via Mount McEuen through Cushnie and Tingoora. Riders should be back at the Wondai Showgrounds by around 12:30pm.
